In recognition of the International Women’s Day (IWD), WOFRHRAD-SL celebrates with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs (MSWGCA), women and other Civil Society Organisations in the Makeni City, Northern Sierra Leone. The day which was meant to bring attention to the social, political, cultural issues women face, and to advocate for the advancement of women within all those areas. As an organization, the purposeful collaboration with the line ministry in celebrating the day was used to recognize women who have made significant contributions to the advancement of their gender.
The day attracted many stakeholders to listen success stories of women in the district.
