WOFHRAD-SL is a non-governmental organization that was founded in 2006 by a group of women. After the war came to an end in 2002, there were a lot of abuses of women, especially in the rural areas, where the access to justice was hard due to culture and tradition in a male-dominated society. In order to address such challenges at the community, district, and local levels, WOFHRAD-SL started working towards promoting and enhancing women’s rights.
