To contribute to the prevention and mitigation of politically motivated violence through the people-to-people peacebuilding
To empower women and youth to have increased voice and leadership as peacebuilders and actively contribute to the strengthening of “peace infrastructure” at the local and national levels.
Our Approach
• A People-to-People Approach – bridging conflicting individuals, communities to discus face-to face peacebuilding agreements
• Trócaire’s “Planting the Seeds of Peace” Methodology →putting young people, between 20-35 years old, at the center of peacebuilding work by training them to take lead in propagating peace and supporting social cohesion for the long-term sustainability of peacebuilding in their communities and countries
• The capacity strengthening of local Civil Society Organization (CSO) partners and networks
• The project will use a women and youth empowerment methodology to build confidence, self-esteem, and awareness of rights
• Improving the capacity of local authorities to support inclusive governance
• Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) and Financial Inclusion
